About Me
Hi! My name is Nora Talaga and I am an actress and teaching artist based in Chicago where I was born and raised. When I started performing as a child, I discovered the joy of stepping into someone else's experience and my fascination with it has continued to grow. Since then, I received a BA in Theatre with a minor in Spanish from Seattle University. There I learned the importance of being authentic to my true self which only strengthened and inspired my love for playing characters.
My appreciation for telling stories and inspiring audiences to rethink the way they move through life continues to expand and it has molded me into who I am today. I strive to bring complexity and truth to every character I portray by constantly paying attention and viewing the world around me as a place to learn. I love all forms of theatre, and as a queer woman, my favorite are the works that allow their LGBTQ+ and women identifying characters to be full and multifaceted, just like all the unstoppable queer folks and women in my life.
Some of my other interests include boxing, doing yoga, collaging, playing guitar, and PLANTS!
